Would you like to hear about best practices for violence prevention from the experts? ....If you answered yes to any of these questions, you are invited to attend a free morning training summit

What: Youth Violence Prevention: Best Practices in Action A Seattle Youth Service Provider Summit
When: Thursday, June 3, 2010 9:30am-12:00pm (snacks & coffee provided)
Where: Cleveland High School Auditorium
Who: Hosted by C:STOP (Cleveland: Students Take On Prevention) partners East African Community Services, Injury-Free Coalition for Kids of Seattle, Puget Sound-Off (a program of the YMCA) and Cleveland High School through a Healthy Youth, Healthy Futures mini-grant from Schools Out Washington

Speakers at the summit will take questions and share best practices for violence prevention through youth engagement in afterschool programs, including:
--Dr. Adedipe of Harborview Medical Center with a violence/injury profile of youth nationally and in Seattle
--Representatives from Schools Out Washington and SOAR

--High school students from a focus-group at Cleveland on social media and youth engagement
--Six effective programs in Seattle working with middle & high school youth—with the best, on-the-ground tips from their programs!
