Seattle Afterschool and Youth Development Networking Meeting
School’s Out Washington's Networking Meetings for afterschool providers and youth workers are held at two locations, one in Seattle and one in the greater King County area, four times a year. Each meeting provides a full 1.5 hours of FREE STARS/MERIT credit. A delicious light lunch is served as well, making this a great chance to combine professional development with a refreshing networking break. You must RSVP in advance in order to receive lunch, or you can bring a sack lunch and drop in.

TOPIC: Grantwriting Action
We all know that money and resources are key to keeping a program running. Grantwriting is a critical skill that can ensure continued support for your organization. Come learn about the grantwriting process and funding opportunities that support children and youth. Bring a project idea you are currently seeking funding for (or an actual grant application if you have one in mind) and use this time to gather ideas from your peers in the afterschool and youth development field. We’ll spend some time talking about School’s Out Washington’s Quality Enhancement and Healthy Youth, Healthy Futures Washington grants in addition to other potential funding sources. There’s no better way to learn than by doing, so come prepared to roll up your sleeves and jump into some grantwriting action. Presented by Danielle Baer and Shannon Ginn Robinson, School’s Out Washington.

School's Out Washington Office
