Putting the Pieces Together

This event connects and informs SOAR partners and community members working for the success of children and youth from birth to age eighteen. This year’s theme is “Strong Partnerships, Safe Communities.” Pieces 5 will present culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate and innovative strategies to support the healthy development of children and youth and the reduction of violence in our families and communities. SOAR believes issues of safety and violence must be addressed at the individual, family, and community level, and recognizes that violence prevention requires numerous developmentally appropriate strategies throughout the early lifespan (from birth to age 18). We are excited to bring you two great keynote speakers, Paul Kivel and Jeff Jordan, and over 27 workshops from King County-based practitioners.
