Opportunity in Time of Recession

On January 12, the Seattle Tutoring Coalition is hosting a training entitled “Opportunity in Time of Recession,” presented by Sally Perkins of Practical Solutions.  This is part of a series of monthly trainings that the Seattle Tutoring Coalition hosts for program staff at youth-serving organizations.

Running human services programs at a time of persistent recession is challenging at best. This workshop will cover such approaches as assessing current program efforts, focusing on effectiveness, focusing on client 'readiness to benefit' from services, and opportunities for program integration and restructuring. The two key assumptions are: (1) the recession will continue for the foreseeable future; and (2) there are many opportunities for innovation and creativity as human services organizations adjust to the new economic reality.
Coffee, tea, and water will be served.  Please bring your own lunch.
