East African Community Services, One Voice, and Seattle’s UGM are hosting a monthly Poetry Slam/Stepping Up Open Mic, on Saturday, April 27, 3:00-5:00 (doors open at 2:30). Anyone is welcome to join; youth under the age of 19 performing spoken word poetry pieces are eligible to compete for the $100 prize. There will be refreshments.
