Thinking outside of our organizational boxes and understanding the power of collective asset building is a sustainable approach to helping create the kind of environment where children and youth can thrive.
Building Developmental Assets Together
Presented by Lina Thompson
Each organization committed to the well-being of children and youth bring their own strengths to the community. But providing all the things a young person needs to be safe, grow up healthy, smart and empowered is too big a job for one organization. Thinking outside of our organizational boxes and understanding the power of collective asset building is a sustainable approach to helping create the kind of environment where children and youth can thrive. The goal of this workshop is to present strategies, and identify concrete steps that you can take to help connect the community through using the developmental assets and to consider an approach to community transformation called Community Youth Development.
