Build Our Own Movement: Talk About it. Be About it. Youth Summit

On May 14th 2011 we are hosting the 3rd Annual B.O.O.M: Talk About it. Be About it. Youth Summit at the Southwest Community Center. During lunch we will be having a job fair and are wondering if you would like to table. We are looking for organizations that are offering jobs, internships (paid and unpaid), summer camps, and other opportunities for young people to participate in this summer. We have limited space so please RSVP as soon as possible. If you are interested please let us know what your organization is offering this summer. Last year our summit was called Summit Up! and we had 150 youth from South Seattle come through.

This summit is being planned by a team of dedicated youth from South Seattle and is happening in partnership with FEEST/Youngstown, YMI, Neighborhood House, Southwest Youth and Family Services, Seattle Parks and Department of Neighbors. The Mayor will also be attending this years summit and we expect it to be a fabulous event for youth in the South Seattle Community.
