Lessons from Mediation: CONFLICT RESOLUTION & EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
—
by
Lauren Mehl
—
event date
Jul 27, 2010 09:00 AM
- Conflict Resolution is often taught as a 2 step, 3 step, or even 8 step process! However, the premise of this one day workshop is unique. As an employee or manager your conflict resolution skills will vastly improve by a change in mindset, rather than the memorization of a pre-packaged or formulaic process. This workshop examines the role of the mediator and conflict resolver through the lens of “Emotional Intelligence.” The objective being to shift the participants’ framework from risk managers to problem solvers. The workshop respects the highly individualistic nature of each conflict and prepares the participants for the interactive and dynamic world of conflict resolution. Using highly interactive exercises, improvisation games, and self-reflective exercises, the participants will walk away from the training with a new paradigm for resolving their conflicts in the workplace.
