- Our hiking leader, Bill Horder, has planned a wonderful route through some of the most beautiful preserved parklands (ones you may not have seen) in Seattle including the Washington Park Arboretum, the Japanese Garden, the Foster Island Boardwalk and Marsh, and the big trees of Interlocken Park (which are all near each other)! To make it a loop, he's added an urban route through the University of Washington's South Campus and past some of the beautiful big old houses next to Roanoke Park. It's a loop hike, so there'll be no retracing our steps and no repetition.
