8th Annual Latina Health Fair
 
Seattle – Celebrating health, women and the Latina community, the 8th annual Latina Health Fair (Feria de Salud Para la Mujer Latina) will be held Saturday, May 15, 2010. The event is free and will run from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at North Seattle Community College, College Center, Cafeteria, 9600 College Way North, Seattle, Washington.
 
The Latina Health Fair is a community-based, culturally appropriate health fair designed to reach those who lack health insurance or access to health care.
 
Many community organizations will provide free medical exams and health screenings for early diagnosis of chronic diseases. Exams and screenings will range from pap/pelvic exams and mammograms to diabetes testing and dental screenings.
 
Health agencies will provide bilingual information about how and where to access services throughout the year. Also a day of cultural celebration and fun, the Latina Health Fair will include entertainment for all ages, as well as health information and fun activities for children.
