Youth for Seattle Schools Race & Equity Committee
Up to Youth Opportunities
Seattle Public Schools is seeking 2-3 youth members (ages 16-20) for their newly established Race and Equity Committee. The mission of this Committee is to advise the Superintendent on School District policies and practices related to equity. This Committee was established in response to issues being raised by students and community members and is an effort by SPS to listen to the issues and become more equitable in their policies and procedures. Committee meets once/month at Stanford Center. Support for youth members is readily offered.
