Here is information on an opportunity for junior and senior
high school students interested in interning over the summer, building leadership skills and helping their community
"The Student Leaders Program offers community-minded high school
juniors and seniors and invaluable opportunity to help change the
world through:
1) An 8-week paid summer internship at a local non-profit
2) A student leadership summit in Washington, D.C.
3) Learn how nonprofits, government and business can partner to
create a positive impact in our communities. "

Applications for our Neighborhood Excellence Initiative Student
Leaders awards are accepted beginning January 1, 2010 through February
17, 2010 (11:00 p.m. Eastern Time).
To be considered as a Student Leader, you must:
* Currently be a junior or senior in high school (U.S. Markets)
* Be able to participate in a week-long Student Leadership Summit
in Washington, DC (July 18 - 23, 2010)
* Be able to participate in an 8-week paid internship at a local
nonprofit/charitable organization
* Be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
(U.S. Markets)
* Be a student in good standing at his/her school
