I'm Duron Jones, the Student Engagement Coordinator for the Alliance for Education. In an effort to include student voice in the activities that the Alliance for Education, Seattle Public Schools, and Seattle College Access Network (SCAN) makes in regards to college access the Alliance for Education is looking to hire unpaid high school interns.
Students will inform the decisions of college access providers, post-secondary institutions, Seattle Public School district central office officials, and Seattle government officials. They will also gain the opportunity to participate in professional development at no cost to them, community service hours, and much more.
Students are able to complete the application directly online and submit it or they can print it and mail it in. There are two positions in which we are hiring. One being the Access Intern position, dealing with scholarships and technology programs. The second being the Ambassador position dealing with student voice, leadership, and programs. The links to the applications are listed below and more information about the positions can be found in their packets.
