Seattle Jobs Initiative is currently recruiting for our welding and manufacturing program at South Seattle Community College. Learn valuable skills and earn more money!

PROGRAM BENEFITS:
• Learn employable skills including blueprint reading, precision measuring, and safety
• Employers are highly involved in program design and delivery
• Entry-level manufacturing/industrial positions start at $11-15 per hour plus benefits
• Training is free for people who meet the program and income requirements
• Great potential for advancement and higher wages

PROGRAM DETAILS:
• Program takes place at South Seattle Community College
• Classes are Monday through Friday, 11 am - 5 pm, for 11 weeks (1 quarter)

Program requires someone who:

• Has mechanical aptitude and interest in manufacturing
• Can complete/pass a drug test
• Can lift and carry 50 pounds
• Can meet strict attendance policy
• Possesses Basic English and math skills (minimum 7th grade level)
• Meets low-income eligibility requirements
• Is a minimum of 18 years of age and lives in Seattle
• Has a desire and is able to work full-time
