YELS Looking for Mentors

Posted by Andrew Nelson at January 06. 2012

Dear Friends and Community Partners,
YELS, a community based leadership program at Neighborhood House’s High Point Center, is seeking mentors for Teens Leading Change, our middle-school youth leadership  program. The commitment is 1-2 days a month, on Monday/Wednesday evenings from 5-7pm.
TLC is a leadership program grounded in environment, community and mentorship. The program offers a holistic approach to youth development; recognizing that a young person’s growth is inseparable from a critical awareness of their environment, as well as their sense of agency in the community. TLC aims to empower young people to identify and create solutions for issues facing themselves within their community
If you have any questions, please write to Aparna Rae, Youth Development Programs Coordinator (YELS).  Applications are due on January 31st. Program kicks-off on Monday, February 13th.
