Who’s Next Youth Violence Awareness Campaign
Advisory Board Description
Who’s Next? is a youth violence awareness campaign created by a team of youth advocates to Motivate, Educate, and Raise Awareness of the issues concerning youth violence in our communities.
Title: Advisory Board Member

Time Commitment: Every 2nd Saturday meeting; 3hrs/month for 12 months plus ongoing communication via email, phone, etc.) Upon availability attendance to Who’s Next presentation events

Start Date: Jan. 2012

End Date: Dec. 2012

Salary: Volunteer

Positions Available: 7

Advisory Board Mandate: To have general oversight of the Who’s Next Campaign and to provide advice and guidance for program development and sustainability.

Description/responsibilities: The Advisory Board is composed of 7 members, representing an array of business and youth programmatic expertise and passionate about the mission and sustainability of Who’s Next.
Their responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
 Assist development of a five year plan, and annual operating plans for Who’s Next
 Develop strategies for fundraising and income generation
 Monitor outcomes: receive and review reports on program activity and assess whether Who’s Next is substantially meeting original objectives and outcomes
 Provide structure/accountability for Who’s Next Senior Planning Team
 Develop network links between Who’s Next and the wider business, philanthropic, and academic communities
 Recruit volunteers
 Developing promotional materials
 Recruit Advisory Board for upcoming year.

Qualifications
 Experience with strategic planning and fund development
 Good communication skills
 Passion for youth and youth/adult partnerships
 Work well with others
 Interest in youth advocacy and creative expression as mode of raising awareness
