Youth Engagement Practitioners Cadre (YEPC)

Are you an experienced practitioner of youth engagement? Do you want to deepen your understanding and practice of effective youth engagement? Want to connect with others to expand local youth engagement work?
Join the Youth Engagement Practitioners Cadre (YEPC), a dynamic professional development program promoting organizational and community transformation. Engage in experiential activities to cultivate the knowledge of seasoned youth engagement practitioners from across King County.
Goals:
· Push personal thinking and professional expectations regarding youth engagement
· Identify and examine personal, cultural, and systematic assumptions and experiences about youth engagement
· Establish new youth engagement norms and behaviors in organizations and communities throughout King County
· Develop collaborative opportunities to demonstrate the efficacy of youth engagement
· Create a best practices manual based on group learning
Details:
· The YEPC will meet for full day trainings on 10/24/11, 12/5/11, 2/6/12, 4/2/12, and hold a celebration in May/June.
· Limited to individuals who have worked professionally focused on youth engagement for at least 3 years.
· Must be currently working in King County and supported by organization to attend sessions (i.e. organization must pay participant for their time while participating in the Cadre).
· Limited to one application per nonprofit organization, government agency, faith community, or foundation.
· Fee is $200. Full and partial scholarships are available. Do not be discouraged from applying if the fee is a barrier.
