Re: Seeking space for 1-hour workshops on reducing exposure to toxins

Posted by Rachel Scott at March 29. 2010

Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest is offering this spring called Protecting Kids from Toxins. This is a 1-hour long workshop we are offering at no cost to community members, an interactive session where parents of young children learn how to reduce their children’s’ exposure to toxins in everyday items such as food, toys and household cleaners.

The program helps parents identify some of the most common toxins with which children may come into contact, and explains how these chemicals can interfere with a child’s reproductive health. The session also provides a variety of accessible, easily implemented alternatives to products with toxins, empowering parents to keep their children safe. We have funding to cover the cost of childcare for the evening as well as refreshments for attendees. Additionally, materials in Spanish can be provided.

Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can assist you in setting up a workshop for the families in your program. I look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes,
