If your afterschool program shares space with a public school, consider creating a project that will enhance both areas by applying for a Toolbox for Education Grant from Lowe's.  Lowe's makes available multiple grants valued between $2,000 and $5,000.  Applicants are encouraged to focus on projects that will be permanent and that will allow for parent and community involvement.  Complete an application by February 12 by going online http://www.toolboxforeducation.com/hta.html
