Teaching Tolerance
Information from the Southern Poverty Law Center on promoting tolerance
The Southern Poverty Law Center has provided two wonderful resources to help promote tolerance and an inclusive society aimed at young people.
This first PDF/article is wonderful and broken down into age development lessons (such as preschool/ elementary/ teens). It focuses on how when we teach youth about tolerance that we must also address our own biases and behavior.

Geared more towards teachers, this website has great links such as information about the “ Do’s and don’ts of Black History Month” and a great program- Mix it Up Lunch Day. Mix it Up Lunch day encourages students to eat lunch with someone they don’t know well or don’t usually sit by.
